Understanding Your Nonprofit's Finances: The Three Questions Every Board Member Should Ask

Monday, June 28th, 6:00 to 8:30 pm

You don’t have to be an accountant to understand the finances of your nonprofit. Come to this class to learn the questions that will unlock the "secrets" of those reports you may find confusing. The instructor has taught thousands of board members including people without a high school diploma through those with advanced degrees.  To get the most out of this session, students are encouraged to bring financials from their nonprofit.

Twenty Five Ways to Raise $1,000 for Your Favorite Charity

Wednesday, June 30th, 6:00 to 8:30 PM

Whether you are looking to raise $1,000 for a particular project or you want to raise much more money for your nonprofit this year, this class is for you. The instructor will present twenty five specific ways that you (as a board member, staff or volunteer) can raise $1,000.  Then each student will have the opportunity to create a one-page plan to raise money for a project or charity. No previous fundraising experience is necessary, just the willingness to learn and the desire to find funding for what you support.  Want to make this an even more productive experience?  Come with a friend or colleague so you can work together to raise more money.

(Note: "Get Grants Now", a four week course, and several one session classes for nonprofits are currently being scheduled for the fall.)
